A popular South African media personality and entertainer has been murdered in the nation's economic hub Johannesburg, sending shockwaves across a nation struggling with persistent crime.
Warrick Stock, widely recognized as DJ Warras, was attacked in the city centre on Tuesday afternoon.
Officials stated the forty-year-old entertainer was approached by a trio of assailants, one of whom began shooting at him before fleeing on foot.
