Devoted supporters of the actress are urging that a man who breached a barricade and seized the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A circulating video depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside media personnel and lunging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a yellow carpet accompanied by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "released after being arrested", though official papers showed that he was set to attend court on the following morning. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

History of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed features videos of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney concert in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is obviously a legal violation," stated an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Voice Worry Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Numerous fans blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her May 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented one more response on Instagram.

Some fans also faulted security officers at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while some called for digital services to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Event Details

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande appeared surprised when she was touched by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Many of Singapore fans had queued up to greet the performers of Wicked

Hundreds of attendees had gathered in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore venue, including several who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it started.

The film, to be released on 21 November, is the second of a two-film version of the popular theatrical show Wicked, which centers on the unlikely bond between two very different sorceresses.

The production itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a sleek black dress decorated with roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful movie of 2024 in the UK, and earned 10 Academy Award nods, winning several for excellent wardrobe and production design.
